In an effort to learn more about the nutritional sufficiency of a vegan diet, a United Kingdom-based vitamin brand – We Are Feel – will pay you to give a vegan diet a try. The vitamin company announced that it is searching for five meat-eating people to participate in a three-month-long study that seeks to determine whether a vegan diet comes with any nutritional deficiencies.
In order to apply for the three-month study, potential participants must be between the ages of 18 and 60 and cannot have any major pre-existing health conditions. As mentioned above, We Are Feel will pay the five participants for their efforts – to the tune of £2,000 per person.
The study will require participants to follow a plant-based diet plan as well as take weekly blood samples for the vitamin company. Researchers from the vitamin company will examine the blood and measure all nutrient and mineral levels, such as vitamin B12, iodine, folate, vitamin C, vitamin D, and many of the nutrients that tend to come up in question with a vegan diet.
The company’s goal with the study is to learn which of their products can best help support people who seek to adopt a vegan diet.
We Are Feel founder Boris Hodakel says, “The development of our products is the most important thing to us as a business and brand—we’re dedicated to creating quality multivitamins that actually work, and as with all of our products, we’re constantly looking at ways to develop them further. These tests have been planned for a while, and after turning vegan recently myself, I can’t wait to see the findings.”
If you are interested in becoming one of the five participants for this paid study, you can submit an application on the company’s website. We Are Feel has announced that it will select the candidates on November 11th.
